Brad Cooper’s Magic Flute Workshop takes children of all ages on a fantasy filled adventure into the far away world of Mozart’s most beloved work.
The Workshop has been enjoyed by thousands of children across the United Kingdom, Sydney and Regional New South Wales, even reaching kids on remote Australian Sheep & Cattle Stations via School of the Air in Broken Hill.
The Magic Flute Workshop is a fully immersive and interactive multi-media experience. Teachers and children alike, will marvel at the awesome adventures of Prince Tamino, Princess Pamina, Papageno the Bird Catcher, Sarastro the Guardian of the Temple and the evil Queen of the Night.
The Workshop can be enjoyed by both small and large groups and is ideal for children K-6 and early High School.
During the workshop children will:
* Meet all the main characters from The Magic Flute & discover the plot.
* Explore acting techniques, participating in scenes from the show - complete with dialogue.
* Learn how to sing like the Queen of the Night with an introduction to vocal technique.
* Discover the differences and similarities between theatre in Mozart’s day and today.
* Enjoy video snippets & pictures from the show through multi media.
* Experience the life lessons to be found in The Magic Flute, including the importance of co-operating to achieve common goals, the importance of friendship on a quest, that first impressions can be deceiving, good can conquer evil and that love can prevail against all odds.
Brad brings a highly personal perspective to the Workshop, having appeared as Prince Tamino in The Magic Flute for English Touring Opera, Cologne Opera and Opera Australia.
