On a sweltering 40 degree Friday evening in February 2016 the ‘Friends of Claude Ho in Thyolo Association’ (FOCHTA) packed out the Paddington Uniting Church in Sydney to raise funds for children and young adults in Malawi whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, celebrate their successes and enjoy the programme captured in this recording. The juxtaposition of the lethargic atmosphere with the energetic music making made for an unforgettable evening, the sense of community enhanced by local kids playing and birds singing outside - listen carefully, you may hear them!
